Launch status: pending engineering and infrastructure. No mainnet genesis, live circulating supply, public bootstrap peers, or funded DEM are published. The downloadable node is an experimental testnet.
| Requirement | Current evidence | Remaining work |
|---|---|---|
| Consensus | Go prototype; SHA-256d and Scrypt; fixed trivial work targets | Integrate selected upstream rules and all chosen algorithms, specify and review difficulty adjustment. |
| Fork choice and settlement | Local two-block lock can permanently split peers after partitions | Define and analyze a common fork-choice and settlement rule with an explicit single-engine compromise threat model. |
| Monetary policy | Prototype enforces two 21M issuance pools | Freeze scheduling, emission, precision, fee, maturity and genesis rules. Current alternation and subsidy remain development assumptions. |
| Wallet security | Unencrypted Ed25519 test keys; v0.3 GUI source uncompiled | Implement reviewed storage, recovery and transaction signing; build and validate final releases. |
| Infrastructure | No online connected node host | Provision persistent bootstrap nodes, monitoring and explorer indexing. Static website hosting does not run blockchain peers. |
| DEM and $MONEY | Design and UI scaffolds only | Implement verified settlement and redemption/collateral rules and establish the operational structure for any fiat product. |
Progress is measured against the objective: compromise of one mining engine alone should not be sufficient to rewrite settled MOD history. That property is currently unestablished.
