# Modcoin whitepaper proposal — implementation addendum

5 November 2026 (Australia/Sydney). The supplied version 0.1 PDF remains a design proposal and is published unchanged. Its section 12 predates this build.

Modcoin v0.3.0 testnet was rebuilt on AFPbootnet using Go 1.26.8. The Windows PE icon images and the full embedded logo match the user-supplied official image. Fourteen tests passed with the race detector, including the GUI send-origin/CSRF checks and a signed UTXO transfer. The Windows executable ran --help and the offline mining/transfer demo successfully. This does not establish a complete native GUI walkthrough, production security, or safe mainnet consensus.

The isolated fork test reproduced reciprocal rejection of longer, individually valid histories after local checkpoint locks. This is a mainnet blocker: it can leave partitioned peers permanently split. Passing that test documents the defect; it does not show secure finality.

The implementation still uses SHA-256d and Scrypt demonstrators, fixed trivial proof targets, and unencrypted Ed25519 test keys. It does not integrate the upstream Bitcoin/DigiByte consensus, all five DigiByte algorithms, MultiShield, or a reviewed cross-engine settlement rule. The 1:1 schedule and candidate subsidy in the proposal remain development assumptions. DEM settlement and $MONEY issuance are unimplemented.

The rebuilt executable is at C:\Local Server\Build Resources\Modcoin-Core\Modcoin-Core.exe. The live website's downloadable binary remains v0.2.0 until the rebuilt file can be exported from the host.
